About us

Hi, I’m Amandine, founder of Travel Wise and deeply passionate about responsible tourism!

With over ten years of experience in environmental and social impact, including six years focused on responsible tourism, I’ve had the chance to work with hotels, tour operators, and destinations across Asia.

Before launching Travel Wise, I worked as Regional Head of Sustainability for Club Med Asia-Pacific, overseeing 22 resorts in six countries. I led the region’s sustainability strategy and supported teams in implementing practical initiatives.

After this experience, I wanted to broaden my scope beyond hospitality and started collaborating with DMCs, travel agencies, and destinations to strengthen sustainability across the wider tourism value chain.

Driven by a deep passion for adventure travel and the outdoors, I believe tourism should reconnect us with nature and people, not just take us places. Through Travel Wise, I aim to make tourism more responsible and meaningful.

I also try to live by these values through my own slow travel adventures, from a six-month, 9,000 km bikepacking trip from Spain to Türkiye, to a solo crossing of the Pyrenees on foot. These journeys nourish me deeply, teach me resilience, and give me faith in humanity and our collective power to make a difference… Things I aim to bring into my work every day!
